Moodle server hardware problem resolved

A critical piece of hardware on our Moodle server failed this evening around 5:00pm. We've moved all of the data onto a new server and everything is now working. We do not expect any further problems, but we are continuing to monitor the server.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank all of you for your patience.

Course drops delayed

We are experiencing a problem with our automatic course enrollment system. All students are being added to their courses in Moodle correctly, but when students drop courses via BannerWeb, the drops are not happening in Moodle.

We are looking into this problem and will have it solved early next week. In the meantime, thank you for your patience.

Problems opening PDFs?

Faculty, if your students have problems opening PDFs posted on your Moodle page, please edit the resource and check the "Force download" checkbox.

This will cause the PDF file to be opened using the Adobe Reader program instead of opening inside the web browser, which is often the cause of the problem.
