Welcome to Moodle 2 @ Smith College!
Welcome to the new Moodle server!
If you need to access one of your old course pages, please visit http://moodon.smith.edu .
Skip site newsThe Workshop module is now available in our Smith Moodle. The Workshop module is designed to structure assignments with a prominent element of peer assessment. Instructors can provide sample assessments and rubrics for the students who are then graded both on their own work and on the quality of their assessments.
To create a workshop an instructor can turn editing on and then choose Workshop from the activity/resource picker that appears in the bottom right of each course section when you hover over it.

This morning's Moodle upgrade is now complete.
Among the new features is the ability to drag a file right onto your course page in order to upload it. You can see what that looks like in the video demo below:
Teachers will also notice that there are no longer four different sub-types of assignment, just one type that handles all of the various submission methods.
If you encounter any difficulties, please get in touch with User Support.
A number of faculty have inquired when their courses for Fall 2013 will be available on Moodle. We are delaying the creation process slightly this time around because of the Moodle upgrade planned for later this week. I apologize for any inconvenience this is causing. We are currently slating the course creation for next week.
